Anyone else being banded on Sept 21st?

I am scheduled for surgery on September 21st. I cannot control my excitement. I wasn't told to go on a diet, but want to at least about 5 days prior. My doctor told me just to eat yogurt after every meal. I didn't even ask why...does anyone know why? Ughh it seems like an eterenity until then. The only thing I am concerned about is being away from my two-year old. What is the normal recovery time? I am a 5'3'' 217 pound active female and I'm 33 years young. Can't wait.
