Will i ever be able to eat more than two bites of food?!

I was sleeved on 9/13/16, 26 days post op.

I can't seem to get any more than 2 - 3 bites of food every 30 minutes! Will this ever change? Will i ever be able to attend a dinner party without feeling like a weirdo?!

I am almost 3.5 years post op and I can't eat more than 1/2-3/4 in a sitting. It took me almost a year to get to more than three bites.

I will NEVER be able to eat 1/2 of a normal portion (not my old fatty's version of a portion -- a NORMAL portion) so I guess I would look weird at dinner' parties. That is, if anyone really cared to look. No one pays that much attention to your plate, I promise you. If they do, they have issues.

Well bites may be a relative term. What was 2-3 normal bites for me pre surgery is now my 2-3oz meal. I can at 3 1/2 months post op eat my 3 oz meal it is small bites and more than 3 of them.

I did go out recently to tapas restaurant which was ideal for making a small meal seem very normal. Added benefit was someone else with gluten issues so easy to get variety of clean veg or high Protein options.

I am up to about 10 bites at 3.5 mths out. I've attended dinner parties, bridal showers, bbqs and eaten in restaurants a lot. No one says anything. It takes getting used to eating so little.
