The day I've been waiting for since my surgery has finally arrived! Week 3 post-op and allowed to start pureed foods! How I have been looking forward to a bit of scrambled egg whites with a bit of cheese and some refried beans!!! Lovingly prepared on my stove, I could not wait to have a taste of real, actual food! No more chicken broth or Water for me!!!!

Sadly, guess my new tummy isn't quite ready. 2 tiny bites over about 10 minutes and my stomach is like "Nope!"

Not sick, but feeling queasy. Maybe today for dinner I'll have some baby food sweet potatoes instead! :-)

All part of the journey, my friends!!!

Yes it is part of the journey and your attitude is awesome!! I am not worried about you at all. Your humor is proof that you know this just a bump in the road and it is. This too shall pass and eventually be a distant memory. Keep trying and keep staying positive. You got this!!

Give it another week and try again. You'all be amazed at how much can change in such a short amount of time. I'm 4 weeks out today and everyday is a learning experience.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
