So everytime ive seen my dr i forget to ask him this question...Pls dont think im stupid asking this, but i do wonder if this can hapoen...Do you ever really stop loosing weight??? Does it just continue to come off??? Of course i know if i go back to eating how i did before, over time i would gain weight, but if i continued to eat the way ive been shown by the dr & nutritionist will i just continue to loose??? Ive lost 65lbs in 3months, im only 20lbs away from my goal weight...I never thought i say this but im worried i may go right past my goal weight and continue to loose... I truly feel i wouldnt be happy if that happened, due to my body structure....If any1 can explain ir share their experience it would be appreciated.. tyia :0)

You answered your question. It seems like you know the math and the chemistry more calories=weight gain. Congrats on your results from your hard work, you rock!

My doc says it's about a year and a half average weight loss. He said if u lose too much weight u will b put on a high calorie diet. My husband was so concerned about how much weight I'm gonna lose. I'm down to 155 at 5' 10". Smallest I've ever been. I love it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
