Hello. Today is a sad day for me because I learned that my surgery has been denied due to errors from the psych eval. The doctor's office sent an addendum stating that there were errors on their previous report - they had my records mixed up with someone else's records - yet Blue Cross Blue Shield still denied it. I've been waiting all day for the phych doctor to call me back, and at 2 p.m., still no call back.
If the doctor refuses to work in my defense and rectify their error, what next? I meet all the criteria for approval. My surgeon's office is angry, says it doesn't make sense, but I don't know where that leaves me.
Has anyone else out there dealt with something like this? I'm terrible sad and disappointed.
