I just was given antibiotics for an infection at the site where my drainage tube was in the hospital. Aside from packing my own incision a couple of times a day, I have to take antibiotics 4 times per day. They taste disgusting since I actually have to open the capsule and mix the powder with water (powder meds for 3 months!). I've tried to mask the taste with water additive Mio, natural cranberry juice (i thought that would for sure mask it since its so tart, but noooooooooooooo), with food, etc. I've gotten nowhere. Nothing will mask the horrible taste. All the doc tells me is to do what I've already tried. It's so bad it makes me want to be sick. Anyone have to have antibiotics and overcome this issue? If so, how?
