Welcome to the other side of the bench. Are you still in the hospital? Remember to sip your Water whenever you can. I went in on a Tuesday and left n Thursday. I don't remember much of Tuesday or Wednesday morning as I slept a great deal too. I do remember I had to breath into this plastic thing many times throughout the day as I had to have my lungs working better. I forgot the name of that plastic machine. Finally on Wednesday afternoon they got me out of bed with a walker. I am disabled and can't walk well. With the PT following me I walked halfway down the hallway and came right back to the bed. Only had that one walk so I had really bad gas pains that radiated into my shoulders. Once I was home I tried walking more and after about 2 weeks the gas pains left me. Those gas pains wee more painful then the incisions.

I am in Florida too Lake Worth area but had my surgery in Jupiter in Jan 2016. If your interested send me a friends request.

I had surgery on August 8th 2016... Tylenol worked best for my pain..walking is best for the back and shoulder pain... The anesthesia gets up there and has to dicipate so walking does the trick! Good luck.

I was sleeved on August 11 the also. I'm in central florida. My shoulder gas pain is the worst. I sip all day and walk tons. My incision pain isn't bad, just use liquid tylenol since leaving the hospital on Friday. I actually took a ride out to the stables yesterday and walked quite a bit to see my furry babies

so sorry about your gas pain I hear it is terrible. I live in south florida. I hope your pain goes away soon. I did not even think about liquid tylenol I have been taking tablets for the incisional discomfort.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
