What do you see in the mirror after losing a substantial amount of weight?

Recommended Posts

I'm down to 170 from 250 and although I know I'm smaller, I still feel unsatisfied when I see my big saggy apron stomach. I'm also annoyed that despite all the weight loss, I still can't walk into any store & fit into anything. I'm STILL too curvy for that lol

I'm closing in on 100 lbs lost and I still see me at 325 lbs...I'm actually 230 lbs at the moment....That's a lot of weight lost but when I look in the mirror I just don't see it! ????

I didn't see my weight loss until I turned in the mirror. Most of the weight I'm carrying and WAS carrying- was on my back! But if you compare photos of before your surgery and now- you will see the progression! Sometimes that's what it takes. Don't get discouraged!

Like others have said - it's the photos that blow me away. I love the Timehop app, although there are mostly only face selfies with my kid from years past.

I'm still in process but about 100 pounds down. I just purged my closet of everything pre-sleeve (except one token outfit for remembrance).

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Have a great Wednesday too! Sorry you're hungry all the time, I'm pretty much the same..and I'm sick of eating the same food all the time.

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
