I had horrible back pain too! I guess it's gas pains. Brutal! But I walked and walked and walked around my hotel room and took GasX. I think that helped a LOT.

I had terrible back spasms and pain for a good two weeks post op. The surgeons claimed initially it was from the anesthesia. Then they said it was from the operating table. Im not sure what it was-but i know it hurt-ALOT! The pain meds didnt even touch it!!! Give it some time and rest and that will get you thru. I would sleep kinda of sitting up and that seemed to help with he back pain too.

Good Morning, The pain you are feeling is the gass' trying to release. I know it is painful. I was banded in 04. I have found that gas x is very helpful. You might want to give it a try. Don't know if other have suggested it. Good luck. I am going in hopefully b-4 end of year.. lol got to see docs & see what they suggest.

God Bless

Toni

I had the same. Really bad back pain. And chest pains under my breast. Phoned nurse and was put at ease when she told me about the port and how it's inbedded into our muscles sometime if you have been moving a bit more it can mover a bit which I belive is the pain. I went back to work after 5 days a ok I never carried anything I was moving more. Weekend off and I rested and now the pain has gone. Good luck with it
