On post op day two. Came home from the hospital last night. Today woke up a little more sore but I also haven't taken any of my pain pills. Walking helps with pain.

The weirdest part is being hungry but not really. I guess this is the head hunger everyone talks about. I couldn't imagine eating right now but when my fiancé eats around me I'm definitely eyeing it haha

@@Angmw82 I know what you mean. Try and explore different ones now because it's even harder to get them in after. I'm really struggling with them now. I loved the Premier Protein before surgery. Now they taste WAY too sweet so I'm switching back to the powders

I'm on day one of my ten day pre op diet, and this is waaaaaay harder than I expected. I'm following the rules so my Protein has me full but my mind is on a constant loop of all foods that I love to eat. At this point it's definitely quite a task to keep my mind on the right track. Any advice??

Hiya.

I'm on day 9 of the pre op diet lost 14lbs and it is NOT easy I have surgery on Wednesday so it's preparing me for my entire life to cut back and it's about self control keep busy but in a few days you won't care about food. Hang in there for me weekends are worst but you can do it. Good luck

Keeping myself busy helps a lot! I keep reminding my self that my mental obsession with food is what got me to 306.4 pounds. So I have to break away from old habits.

Day 11 on pre diet. Feeling very light headed and weak. But continuing with the diet, I have lost 14llb in 11 days so I'm happy with that. I had a mental break down last week asking myself why am I doing this, got through that and have been happy, today I am back tired and asking what am I doing? are anyone else thinking this aswell?

Hi Jody.

Aww thank you so much yes I am on day 12 of my pre op diet and I write this whilst drinking my 2nd one for the day ha! Yeh I am so proud of myself because I thought I would of cheated but I haven't. Yes I am having mine with Dr Sufi at the Whittington in archway London. Ahh you are friday how amazing are you scared? How do you find your pre op diet shakes? I have the asda Meal Replacement vanilla and chocolate I prefer vanilla though one they taste like ice cream because I put ice in it just 2 cubes and blitz it in my nutribullet. Ahhh nearly there how much have you lost?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
