I'M Proud of Myself and I Hope You R Too[emoji846]

Recommended Posts

No matter your current weight loss either you feel it's too fast, too slow, or right on time. We made a decision to become a healthier "you" therefore cherish it, love it, and at it. Sleeved 9/25/15 with a 60lb loss 40more to go. I look and feel great and I'm so loving the soo many compliments, I'm so glad I made the decision to have vsg. I'm blessed to be one of the ones with "NO" complications, "NO" food restrictions, & "NO" acid reflux/gerd I'm able to do much more I couldn't do months ago, as simple as a jumping jack(which I can do 50 now), a sit up(I can do 25-50 non stop, jog(I can do at least a lap), push ups(I can do 50). Exercising has become a huge part of my lifestyle changes and I'm very proud of myself and my journey in becoming the new me.

That is wonderful! I really look forward to being able to walk more,(I grew up in Jersey-walked everywhere) use my new recumbent bike and just move without being out of breath. Freedom and independence for all of us!!

@Ic8604 nothing to it but to do it!!! Try not to focus on what may go wrong, pray about it and leave it in the Lords hands claim it, you'll have a successful surgery with no complications and good results!! Wishing you much success..

Thanks so much! I just left a seminar with one of the physicians who do the surgery.. I work at the hospital so luckily I have some insight of who I want. I am ready! He made me feel very good and at ease. The good news is once I have an initial consultation with him, the minimum wait is 90 days... So I'm thinking it may be January before I'll actually get to do it. But I'm excited!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
