Stent placement today after 2 weeks on hospitsl with a micro leak

Hey everyone in here.

Im not the one that had an gastric sleeve. My girlfriend had a leak (micro) or (pinpoint) leak, 9 days after a Gastric Sleeve surgery. They cant find the leak, but a little bit of liquid had come out and gave her an abscess, but thats healed and gone. She has been on the hospital now for 16 days, where she was on sonde food (liquid/food) through her vains.

They had hoped the leak had closed by it self, but its not. So they decided to do a stent today for 6 weeks.

So my question here is.. Her doctor said that, the first few days can hurt alot, cuz the stend is still adjusting the stomach. But everyone says it hurts all the time, and they puk and cant eat anything..

Is that the scare stories? Is it really true that there is no good Stent Placement stories to share ?
