Will be sleeved in MX, need a NC doctor for F/U

Within the coming days I will schedule my procedure with Dr Garcia, however, i just realized that i will need F/U once I return home. What have others done in this case. My PCP is totally against medical tourism and will not provide post F/U visits. Anyone from NC/VA on this site?

Did your PCP say if you go to MX they would not be your doctor? That is very narrow minded and I would sure be looking for a new PCP. My PCP is great and will taking out my stitches when I get back from MX.

Your PCP is an arrogant prick. Find a new one. The only followup I ever needed was bloodwork at 3, 6, and 12 months and then annually. My PCP has done all of that. My OB/Gyn even offered to do it, so you may check with yours. Perhaps they arent as ignorant as your PCP.

Get a new PCP. You should be able to change to another within your network. My PCP has been amazing through multiple surgeries in Mexico. She has done all of my follow-up check-ups and blood work from my VSG and my plastics. She's the best!
