Hello everyone its my first time posting. I wanted to know if you lose breast size after surgery, does it look bad, and you think you should get breast reduction or plastic surgery?

I'm down around 115 pounds and like 5 band sizes, but barely one cup size. The cup size didn't happen until about 3 months ago, and I was a bit upset as I was happy with my overall size there. I've got some skin wrinkling if I move or sit a certain angle, but they don't look that much different otherwise and I have hopes that the skin might tighten up naturally as long as I make sure to keep the breasts supported so I wear a sleep bra at night and a supportive regular bras during the waking hours to help minimize the stretching.

It really depends on breast size and your breasts' composition mostly. Breasts are not composed of just fat; they contain ducts, breast tissue and fat. If when you first developed you had large breasts, then it's likely you won't deflate as significantly because you'll likely have dense breast tissue, but if they got larger as you got larger, then it's likely they are composed of mostly fat and will see much more sagging in the end. Age and length of time obese will play a factor in how good they'll look.

How you lose weight is also an issue as well because some women lose and their breasts unfortunately sag significantly and some have denser breast tissue and don't see as much changes.

And how do you make 10 pounds of fat beautiful? Put a nipple on it. ;-) sorry I tried but I just could not help myself.

I qualify for both sugeries however, my pcp, my bariactic surgeon, and a Dr friend all suggested to get the weight loss first then lift what ever needs to be fixed later. Getting the breast reduction first then the wls could change the size and shape of the breast.

Oh you need to do the weight loss first - you may end up needing another surgery if not.

Mine totally deflated. Never dreamed I would get implants after spending most of my life a G-ish cup (anywhere from 36G to 42DDD over the years).

Plastics restored me to a 32DD/DDD.

I have lost about a cup size and expect to lose another cup. When I was thin in high school and at my lowest, I was a B cup. When I gained weight I made it to a D cup. I expect to end up back in a B cup...ive never been "blessed". Always wanted bigger ones, but not at the cost of gaining 120lbs!! lol

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
