I didn't have the heart to get rid of some shirts

  • Popular Post

I was going through my clothes, I used to be a 24W, 3X and I was putting them aside cleaning out my closet, etc. I'm a L and 12/14 now. I bought a bunch of shirts less than a week ago, so I set aside the ones I really loved and didn't want to get rid of. Now I'm on a sewing project, bought a sewing machine and resizing the ones I love. It'll take awhile but well worth it to me!

How rewarding! I love to sew, but I don't care so much for alterations. However, I have been able to put off buying a ton of stuff in the middle sizes by doing some alterations to my clothes.

I posted last year about how much fun it was to take some of my old shirts and letting the girl freind know, it was OK to just rip this off me if she wanted to. It turns out, that is something she has always wanted to do. ;-) So let the buttons fly on those you don't want to alter ;-)

There are shops on etsy that will turn your old t shirts into a quilt. I am doing this with my 40+ t shirts when they are too large.
