My turn tomorrow. Nervous but it's a must!

I am having surgery tomorrow and I too have went back and forth in my mind. I lost 80lbs a few years ago and then hurt my hip so the weight has creeped back on and I am up 30lbs. In order to get my hip fixed I must lose 40 lbs. I am now 230 but of course I hope I lose more than that. I find that my self esteem is tied to my weight unfortunately and being newly single after a 24 year marriage it's in my thoughts always.

I pray this surgery is the right decision. I wanted to do this journey alone as my family will not be supportive but the hospital required I have someone pick me up and wouldn't let me cab it home. So my brother knows now. He was supportive but I am still bummed I had to involve family. That sounds sad I suppose but it is my reality.

I love this forum and appreciate all of you who share and provide support. You have no idea how much I have learned from this place. ❤️❤️

Tomorrow I start a new chapter. Appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Lori.
