Hey all, I am having my first appt with my surgeon in Wednesday! I am excited but nervous.

I originally thought I would get the lap band surgery but after doing some research it seems like there is a lot more complications. So now possibly considering the VSG.

So lapband or VSG pros and cons?

Obviously, I realize I will discuss my options with my surgeon. Just want your take on them.

When I spoke with my PCP and told her I decided to go with the sleeve she said if she'd have to do the surgery that's the one she'd choose. She said there has been too many problems with the lap band with slippage so that's what convinced me.

I am leaning towards the sleeve because of that reason. I have done a ton of research and have noticed there are so many more complications with the band.
