So excited to see that everyone is getting pumped and ready for this lifetime adventure! Me and my sister are doing this together . She is already 12 days Post-op and doing well and back at work. She's lost 21 pounds so far. I'm excited to see what we all do!

July 7 and I cannot wait. I am so excited. I am on full liquid as of yesterday but just realized I didn't need to start it until tomorrow. Doh! I have been doing a modified for the last two weeks...two shakes, yogurt snack and high Protein meal.

Had a last weigh in with the nut today and am so happy I am down a total of 30lbs from my highest weight and I am hoping for another 7lbs before surgery date.

Ok, be honest....has anyone cheated even a little on the pre-op? It is day 5 and I even had a great day......BUT, I got home and next thing you know, I had 2 potato chips with dip and a meatball! I am annoyed with myself. I have 5 more days to go and I KNOW 4th of July will be hard. Sigh.

I'm scheduled for July 13th. Just started the 2 week liquid diet. I can have protien shakes and pureed Soup with protien powder added. I don't really like canned or box Soups so I'm thinking of making homemade vegetable soup and sticking it in the Ninja.

Has anyone else made homemade soup for their liquid diet? Any good ideas?

I did really good on day 1and 2 but i have to admit I cheated.... I am so disappointed in my self I want to cry. I will try really hard tomorrow. I have to NOT cook for husband until I'm done with this liquid diet. Plus, I'm not used to having headaches. I ate a piece of a plain baked chicken breast and the headache instantly went away.

Don't beat your self up, it happens. I have 4 days left and I've stuffed up a couple of times just my habit. When making food for my siblings and I taste it to make sure it's cooked enough, and then I realise 'oh shit'. Can't really do much after you've swallowed it. As long as your making the effort and don't just ride the whole day off from a little slip up you'll be fine I reckon. What date if your surgery??

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
