Australian Medicare / Private Insurance coverage for Plastic Surgery

I have been given these codes for plastic surgery 30177 for abdominal skin reduction and 30171 for Arms and Legs.

Has anyone been approved by Medicare or their private Insurance for these surgeries since the beginning of 2016 because I believe that knew requirements were put in place in January making it harder for approval now.

If you have can you tell me what your requirements were and how Long it took to be approved?

It would need to be deemed medically necessary to meet 5hr medicare criteria for cover, which most private insurance uses to approve or deny surgery (as long as your policy covers it). It usually means a significant documented history of skin infections, sores etc
