Infection at drain tube incision-2 weeks post

Hi, i'm two weeks postop RNY and I had a drain tube for one week after surgery.

The incision started draining 2 days ago, and it appears I have an infection in the incision so I need to go have it drained.

Anyone else have that issue?

Oh no! That sounds awful. I didn't have an infection but I did have a pretty horrible allergic reaction to the tape they used around the incision site, so my skin was welted, red, and super painful right around the drain. It was not fun at all! I can't tell you what a relief it was to finally get the drain out. How much longer are you going to have the drain in?

Hope you feel better soon! :( Take good care of yourself.

Thanks! Drain tube came out a week ago. Ended up in the ER yesterday and they drained his pocket of Fluid that had developed around the incision and become infected, then they packed it and gave me some anabiotic's. Hopefully this takes care of the problem and I can get this passed me!!
