Have you met with him at all during the process?......I had an initial consult with him when I first started where we talked about what surgery was best for me, ....just general stuff. He asked about my eating habits. Then after I finished all my other stuff (psych vist, NUT visit, pre-op tests, like chest x-ray and swallow test)....and everything was submitted to my insurance I met with him one last time.....this was a very quick visit. He asked if I was excited about surgery and that was about it.....my surgery date was set at this visit.

I never met with her before but I think I was told that the surgery date may happen during this last visit...I hope your right because I have everything else done....I just wondering how the surgery date gets set if I haven't seen an approval from my insurance yet. I guess only time will tell

I'm sure it will go fine. Just try to relax. Do you know if they have submitted your authorization request to your insurance company yet? If they have I'm sure they will be setting a surgery date for you. Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks for you to actually get the letter from the insurance company so maybe it's already happened! Your appointment is tomorrow so no need to call the insurance company to try to find out....I say just wait until your appointment. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
