This can not be correct! (Bra talk)

Recommended Posts

I have noticed I really need to replace my bras....they are getting too big , shoulder straps are loose so I cross cross them in the back to make them work. So glad I have convertible bras but it's time for new.

So I found a calculator online to give me a rough estimate of size...wow!

http://www.lindasonline.com/bra-fitting-calculator.html

My last bra was a 42

According to converter with my chest wall being 33 inches I should buy a 36

A 36 band size??? I think the last time I bought those I was in High School!

Thank you sleeve !!!

I have to laugh because I'm super excited that I can now find my sizes on clearance racks..Large/ 14

I thought yeah, that means cheaper bras too!

WRONG! Lol I may be a 36 but it's a 36F so nope I'm still going to be shopping online! Lol

Eh, win some, lose some I guess

I'm saddened that mine resemble smooshed danglehoppers and no longer anything that resembles breasts. At least I'm now a 34 and no longer a 42...still a C, just need to hike those bad boys up more.

Wow! Thank you for posting that - I have totally been wearing the wrong size. I'll just have to scoop my girls up off the floor and buy them some smaller bras to fit into. I was not expecting Deflate-Gate for the girls, that's for sure.

@@CSchulden LOL I'd handle being deflated if Tom Brady wanted them that way! :D

Mine went from 44D to 38B. The doctors on BOTCHED said that on the average well-placed breast, the nipple should be 21" from the sternum.

Thanks for sharing this useful tool. I definitely need to buy new bras! A 38D bra literally fell off of me last week. Fortunately it happened while I was at home and just walking across the house instead of at work where I'm a professor with hundreds of students in some of my seminars.

I went to Maidenform shop and was measured. It only took a minute and really helped a lot.

I usually shop at HerRoom.com as they have great selection and a decent return policy. Highly recommended as they also have a great measurement tool and a universal sizing scale to help you figure out what size to order no matter the brand (since the stupid brands can't seem to be uniform across the sizes for some reason). If you need good quality bras, check them out.

I have scored some great bras on Target in the last year tho. Just got a Paramour teeshirt bra (smooth cup) clearanced for $22 in the larger cup size (I'm wearing a 36G currently). It fits great, very comfortable and supportive after hours of wear. Even if it doesn't last for years, it was worth it. (the Paramour line seems to be good looking but lower cost, supportive large sized).

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
