Hi msmreed47,

Welcome to the site. If you don't mind me asking why are you doing the revision? What are your stats?

I had sleeve to RNY revision on 10/21. I have lost 57lbs. My recovery was more difficult 2nd surgery, but I don't regret it for a minute. Love my bypass. I will be 6 months out on the 21st and hope to be 60+ lbs down

I had sleeve to bypass on 5/9 this was due to major complications, I am recovering slowly as it was performed open surgery. I have no weight problems as I lost it all with band and sleeve, so this is crazy but today I only weigh 96lbs (5ft 1). I just need to get healthy now. I am always searching the boards for someone who has gone through this, people respond negative and say how could your surgeon do that, but there was no choice the sleeve went so wrong due to strictures and scar tissue.

Hi everyone, I was revised from sleeve to RNY March 16th due to complications and severe case of GERDS and sadly I'm really regretting I'd rather had kept suffering from previous complications... I have yet to eat anything that I can keep down.... Not to mention my weight loss is at a complete halt for over a month no matter how much I work out....and I'm completely disappointed in both of these surgeries and wish I never had surgery I'm still over 200lbs....

Hi Titaniumsleeved2014,

Sorry to hear about the complications. What kind of problems are you having? How much did you weigh before WLS? Are you doing any better with the Bypass vs the Sleeve?

I'm in the same situation had surgery 4/28 my Protein shake makes me nauseous I hate drinking Water I'm dizzy pain in my legs when I sleep they say I'm malnourished and dehydrated with the sleeve stw 265 got down to 219 then bypass I'm down to 196.8. I'm told a stall is because I'm not getting in the proper Protein n Water ugggg this is very depressing.

I go to MX July 13 for a revision, sleeve to MGB. I'm looking forward to it. I'm hoping to lose 30 pounds.

I am 70lbs down with my sleeve to RNY revision. I still suffer with heartburn so that is a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping between the revision and the hernia fix it would take care of it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
