Those new ta-ta's of yours are very cute and perky! I haven't seen perky since the 1960's...

I've got a ways to go before doing more than contemplating the idea of needing PS some day, but the amount of detail you post here is invaluable.

@@2goldengirl Thank you. I'm rather fond of the girls. When your time comes hopefully you can be prepared and not have to stress as much as I did. :) I was basically on my own.

PS: I'm not sure what size these boobs are? If I had to guess I'd say a full c cup. I will have to wait until I'm healed to have them measured to know for sure.

Just as reference these were 3 of the examples of what I DID NOT want. Mine is top left. Top right : The scar line in my opinion was too high. The belly button is not natural looking. A dead giveaway. Having darker belly button skin used in that big of a circle was a NO NO! Bottom left: Same thing only worse! I would have been livid had I woke up to a scar like that. I wanted a nice space between my scar and belly button so to be able to hide it in most clothes. If I decide some day I want to wear a shorter cropped shirt there is no way to do that with that scar unless you wear high waisted pants. No thanks. It looks weird to me. Bottom right: I did NOT want a straight across scar. I wanted it curved. Again to be able to hide in smaller clothes. Top left: Mine! Low curved scar with a natural looking belly button higher away from the scar line. Of course mine was only a day old there so I have a lot of healing to do but it should only get better. No dark belly button cut and skin. I would not have approved of any of those belly buttons. You wouldn't think that was important until you start researching and see what a difference the belly button can make. She does do some of the best belly buttons in our town, so I found out. The most natural looking. Mine still has stitches that will be removed next week. So see I was very meticulous and it was all my preference. Others may see these and think they are great. The people who own them hopefully love them but they weren't for me. Once I get my tape off I will show you guys the actual scar. Also my belly is swollen more on one side than the other so it almost looks like my belly button is off centered. I can assure you it's not. The swelling is pushing it to one side a bit more. Point being don't be afraid to take as many photos as you wish as references to what you want. The more the better IMO.

Ya, ewww, what's with the dark skin around the belly button?? I never saw that before! Yours looks amazing. All that research and voicing precisely what you wanted definitely paid off!

@TheRealMeIsHere! I'm not sure what it is. It looks like the surgeons are cutting the initial hole too big and then they are stitching the belly button on top of the hole instead of from the inside to make it more natural appearing. That's my best guess. I'm not a PS but that's what it looks like. I think there's an art to it. Someone who hasn't had Plastics yet may not even ever consider a belly button as a real part of the surgery but it is. When done right it should look esthetically pleasing and not such a dead give away that something has been done. You can tell that from a ways away.

Thank you. I'm ready to close up the loose ends, too. Ready to be done, done, freaking done with the weight issues and the physical reminders of it.....and get on with living a lean life.

I'm happy for your results. Keep on inspiring and coaching and living the example of somebody who took matters into her own hands and made a change !!!

Huge respect.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
