Do I went through tricare to get my work up for my surgery. It took months but I got approved finally. Then I get an email from the surgeons office saying because I have Kaiser they're my primary insurance coverage. I was devastated, I've been waiting since 2012 to have this done. So I'm having to go to Kaiser, I was supposed to have my surgery in two weeks.

Do I have to start all over at Kaiser? I'm just soo sad about this whole thing....

Please help of you happen to know....

If the surgery approval requirements for Tricare are the same as for Kaiser, then it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

But I think surgery in 2 weeks is a bit optimistic especially when you are deal with insurance companies.

You will probably still need to take the classes required by Kaiser, but they should accept your labs and paperwork showing you did the diet and such. Good luck!

Why don't you just cancel your Kaiser insurance? No need to double up. Especially since TriCare is great and easy to work with in my opinion.

I tried to disenroll, they won't let me. I saw my new primary and he said he doesn't see why they would make me take the classes as the information I have is more than what they require for their members.
