Good morning lovely people! ;)

I'm 21 days post-op and desperate to find a Multi-Vitamin that I'll be able to stomach. I tried opurity after surgery and it made me nauseous almost to the point of vomiting 3 times in a row, so I gave up. My surgeon's office didn't have any other recommendations, however they did clear me to take regular Vitamins now. I'm trying not to spend hundreds of dollars trying to find the right Vitamin, but I know it might have to happen since everyone is different.

Does anyone love their multi-vitamin? I'm open to all recommendations. :) I can take chewables, regular vitamins, or gummies (will have to check the sugar though).

Thanks in advance! :)

I absolutely love my "Bariatric Advantage Advanced Multi EA". Tastes like a candy Bracelet. And I love my Calcium Citrate chewables, they taste like tootie rolls.

I had my VSG on Feb 1st and don't want to swallow huge pills if I can help it. I have enough other things to swallow, like the probiotic. I mix in my liquid Trace Minerals with a large bottle of Water and can not taste it . =D

I'll exhaust you talking about vitamins! lol (I still need to learn to make my posts succinct. >.>)

Thanks Amelie! I take the BA calcium citrate chewables and I think they're pretty good. :) Are the Advanced Multi EA chewables really large or smaller? I heard you have to take two of them.

My Bariatric Advantage AE tasted like vomit and saurkraut. I wasted a lot of money on them.

Now I take a generic multi with extra B Vitamins from Walgreens.

Yikes! That doesn't sound appetizing lol! I'm tired of wasting money too. Hoping to find the right Vitamin this time around :)

I have been using the patch Vitamins from Patch MD and I love them. I had my bloodwork done last Friday and everything was great except low levels of Vitamin B12. My mom and dad both have had low b12 levels their entire lives so maybe it's a hereditary thing. The doctor put me on a b12 regimen of 500mg per day but everything else looked good.

I take the Vitaleph Bariatric multi-vitamins my surgeon recommended still at 18 months post-op. I have never had any issues swallowing or digesting them and my labs always come back perfect.

"Vomit and Sauerkraut"? That doesn't sound like a very good flavor choice. Maybe you should have tried their "mixed berries" flavor instead. :)

I stay away from bariatric products that "taste like candy" -- the last thing I need to be doing is stoking my desire to eat candy! I also don't need to load up on the calories and carbs packed into those kinds of Vitamins. I use Trader Joe's High Potency chewable Multi's. Very low calorie, low carb, and cheap. They taste fine (not like candy though). I took 2 per day for the 6 months after surgery, then switched to one per day. My labs have always been great, and I've never had any problems with nausea or anything like that.

I've been nutrameteix and it's a great product. It's liquid and you just have to drink it in the morning on an empty stomach. It taste like tang kind of. The best part is the convince and the 8oz counts to your liquids! I buy mine online.

They are about the size of a nickle and maybe 1/4 inch tall. I just suck on them instead of chewing and swallowing. =)

It doesn't trigger me to crave sweets because I was always a savory food addict. Maybe your office could give you a sample, or if you call them perhaps they can give you a sample that way you won't have to spend money on something you might not like. =)

I started on Bariatric Advantage chewables, then switched to Patch MD Multivitamins after the first month. Eating 2 caramel calcium chews per day. My 3 month labs were all in the normal range. Vitamin D was on the low side of normal, but up from what it has been in the past. My Dr. doesn't have a problem with his patients using them -- but did warn me to make sure the Patches don't come off when the heat of summer rolls around. You might give them a try.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
