One-on-one holiday exercise challenge, anyone?

Recommended Posts

I just sent Penni an IM that said I'm trying to sneak back into bandland gracefully, as if I never fell off. I want to avoid any extra pressure (like a challenge) so maybe I'll get back to eating small portions. Thanks, Zoe!

Hello DeLarla,

So sorry to hear you're having a down moment. I was thinking about you last night and you have been an inspiration to me. You've always been so positive, even through your trials and tribulations, such as the loss of your port.

I'm sure you have been an inspiration to many others as well. It's been as though we could see your smile through your messages.

I may have missed the post as to why you don't have or are unable to get a new port, but I truly wish you the best. Please know we are all here for you regardless of your decisions.

Haven't gotten on the scale yet....was in PA for the holiday and feel really fat today!!! Did my 1 hour of weight training though. Could be bloated...had Black Bean Soup yesterday for dinner. Will get on eventually.....Hopefully my "behavior modification" class on Wednesday will help!!!

N*

I'm missing a lot of information folks LOL. Some very brave people already gave me thier information good or bad. Tough it up and forward me your loss/gain.

Can't make my charts and reports without the Data.

Marie, I hope things are better after your unfill. Sorry you had to have one.

I have been lying low for the last couple days. I was a bit discouraged to gain and then overate at hubby's birthday dinner. Messed up my esophagus again. Ugh! It is feeling better today, after a day of mostly liquids. I hope that's the end of it. It seems this is rather common around the holidays.

No exercise the last couple days. Need to get back on that, it feels so good to do it. :D

OK I have been really bad the last couple of days. I have done ZERO exercising. Yesterday was in bed all day with a Migraine. The day before it was just to flipping cold to exercise outside and I am soooooooooooo not motivated to do it inside. So, today I thought I will get up and walk. Guess what? No walking for me today. I was playing and posting all darn day on another thread on this site. TOmorrow I go see Dr. Billy for a check up and most likely won't do anything tomorrow either.

OK I felt a smack up side my head. WHO WAS IT?? I promise mom & dad I will do better. I promise I will. Can't I have the chocolate cookie now?

you're a real pip... penni.... we all have days like that, as long as they don't turn into months, quarters, season... etc... good luck, getting back on the band wagon... don't beat yourself over it... you'll get back.

Yeah! Leatha, that is great! Putting it together counts as exercise, too. :D

Amen to that.. specially since it said clearly, on the instructions 'you'll need TWO people to assemble..', I won't even go into the different gyrations I had to go through to get things to fit. lol

Wow, Leatha! Great job! That's a lot of miles! And you definitely should get extra points for putting your bike together. Heck, just for reading the directions and finding all the parts!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
