Surgery scheduled with Dr. Ronnie Keith in OKC

Recommended Posts

I am self pay and officially have a surgery date of March 16th. I am excited and extremely nervous at the same time. I am starting at 360 and am really worried. I have wanted this for so long and now that it is a reality, I am terrified. Has anyone on the firm had surgery with Ronnie Keith?

Good Luck. My friend tried him but his staff were rude as can be so she is going elsewhere. She called to get directions and they gave her the wrong cross streets. So she was late. Then when she arrived they told her they may not be able to see her because she was late even though it was their mistake. Then her insurance denied her and the woman was like, "You need to pay us $500 today or you won't be seeing him". I was there so I whispered to her that it's not worth it and we should go.

My friend didn't know that he was the first doctor I checked into when I was planning on the surgery. I was quoted $18,000 altogether, which is b.s. So I went to Tijuana and only paid $4,500 for the surgery.

FYI: I've never seen Dr. Keith but my friend has seen pictures of him and one of his patients told us that he is obese. So if true it's kind of weird that he won't get the surgery for himself.

He and the staff were really nice when I went for my consultation. He is heavy and I wondered why he has not had the procedure himself. I would really like to hear from someone who actually had surgery with him. He does not have a profile on here and that kind of scares me. I mean this is my life I am putting his hands in.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
