February sleevers - waiting on approval from insurance

Hi, this is my first time posting. I have a surgery date of February 11th. I'm still {impatiently} waiting on approval for insurance. I'm getting nervous!I'm worried I won't be approved. I started my pre op diet today, basically carnation instant breakfast for breakfast & lunch then lean meat and veggies for dinner. How long did it take your insurance to get back to you? Mine was sent in 01/19. I have BCBS IL.

    BCBSIL took about 7 days after surgeon submitted me but they mailed the approval so we didn't get the notice for another week after that. Plus the approval letter was a bit vague but the office was used to seeing those letters and knew right away that it was an approval. My surgery is set for February 26th.

    Thanks. I called BCBS IL today and they said I was approved but they hasn't sent the letter yet. Ekkk! Hope that's true. Good luck!
