Wednesday will mark 3 weeks for me. My start weight was 283 surgery date weight 270 and for the past week I have been between 250 and 253. I have gone up and down between those weights. My doctor cleared me for soft foods last Wednesday so I thought that would help get things moving. I'm frustrated because I hit a "stall" a few days before 2 weeks and now I'm hearing about a normal 3 week stall. I'm not noticing anymore NSV witch is frustrating to. Actually felt bloated the last couple of days. I'm also having an on and off again horrible pain on my left side closer to rib cage.

Doctor said he has no idea what it could be but possible kidney stone.

Also worried because I have NO problems with any fluids. I can drink a lot just have to remind myself to. And haven't gotten sick from any food I've tried. Yesterday and today I have felt hungry really for the first time also. ????.

I have anxiety pretty bad and I think I'm over thinking all this so much! Any advise would be great. Thanks so much!

Stalls are part of it all.

I was sleeved on 12/15 and hit a stall 2 1/2 weeks later. It lasted a week then I started to lose again.

Stick to your program and you will get through it.

Can't help with the pain...sorry.

The best advice I can give you is to stop and breathe.

If the numbers on the scale are what are making you anxious then I recommend you stay off of the scale for a while. You might want to consider weighing no more than once a week, or even less often.

You mention not having trouble drinking. Are you able to get at least 64 oz of Fluid and reach your Protein target every day?

None of us lose at a constant or steady rate and fluctuations and stalls are all normal.

Just follow your program.

Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids.

Take your Vitamins and supplements as directed.

Exercise.

And, stay off the scale.

Embrace the Stall!

Just think about this a minute: You have lost 17-20 lbs. in three weeks.

Do you not see that this is awesome? Hide the scale or give it to your next door neighbor for a month or two. Keep following your program. You're doing great!

Are you on a PPI? The acid many sleevers get can sometimes feel very similar to hunger pains. Being able to drink a lot is not a bad thing as long as your are drinking the right things.

Yes, 10 lbs a month is typical of a sleevers honeymoon year. Yes, the first month or two should be more, but you're body is still traumatized. Check back after one month.

Get your 70 grams of Protein, 64 ounces of Water, and walk 45 minutes a day, and before you know it, they'll be calling you skinny!

I also ran into the frustrations you are having. I was sleeved on 12/28. Came home on the 30th, lost a few pounds for a few days, then it just stalled.I was stalled about 8 days, and loss resumed a few days ago. I also posted my frustrations here, and was set straight by a few of the great members on this forum! Rest assured, the losing will resume. You have lost a lot already, I think the body just freaks out and says- Hey, I need to hold onto what I have, something is going on here!, and then you stall. I noticed right away, that during my stall, I was retaining Water. Not sure why, but I could tell immediately. I also could tell a few days ago, that my kidneys had finally had enough of retaining Water, and started getting rid of it. Often. Perhaps it was all the meds they gave me in the hospital, or the constant IV fluids, who knows....

Anyway, the people on this forum are so helpful, and have answered several questions for me. Also, they have given me the support and kind words of encouragement, when I needed them most. Best of luck to you on your new journey!

I stopped losing at about 2 1/2 weeks, (sleeved 10/09/15) but I started back. Stay off of the scale and watch how your clothes fit. You may not be losing pounds at the moment, but you can be losing the inches. I have lost 50 pounds so far

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
