Went to n got my psych eval on the 2nd of January now I'm waiting for it to be cleared by the doctor so I can schedule a date for my surgery I'm so nervous and anxious.

@@shelly7 - if that is your last "hurdle" have you started working a pre-op type schedule? I had opportunity to have my surgery within 9 days and had started my pre-op diet so my surgery could've been a lot earlier -

Just finished my last test, (upper GI)I go back next month to schedule, the long six month journey seems like it's going in slow motion! But next month six months is up!

I was told I didn't have to do the pre op diet it was optional

Wow! I can't imagine waiting 6 months. I just decided a couple of weeks ago to pursue surgery and it's already too long! I'm ready to start my new life

I've done:

psych eval

consultation

nutritionist

oximetry

bloodwork/EKG

I get clearance from the sleep doctor in a few minutes, have a non-sedation endoscopy next week. I'm hoping to have my surgery date after that, because all that will be left is classes in February and in the beginning of March.
