Hi. I had my initial band surgery in 2008. Needed a revision due to a slippage in 2013. I am now hoping for a conversion to the sleeve. Has anyone ever had this done after a prior revision?

I had the band in 2011, revision in 2013, and converted to sleeve in 2015 after more problems with the band. I love my sleeve! Good luck.

Thank you! You have given me hope! I am just so worried my surgeon won't do it. He told me when I had my revision after the slippage, that if it did it again, that'd be it, nothing else to do.

My surgeon removed the band and performed the sleeve at the same time. I've heard that some only take it out and make you wait months for you to recover. I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

Thanks! My concern is that I already had the one revision/repair with my slippage. I'm hoping he will still do it. If he won't, then I need to start looking for a Dr around here that will. I've seen a couple others on here that have had it done, so it is possible!
