January banders, let's ring in the new year together!

Hi everyone! I'm new here but not new to being obese. I've been overweight since I was a child and I am excited, and a little nervous, to begin this new chapter of my life. My surgery date is 1/22 and my pre-op diet starts 1/8. I've freaked myself out a little after watching too many YouTube videos but I'm still sure I want to do this. Are there any other January banders out there?

hi everyone!

I forgot to ask my dietician can we continue taking our Vitamins in the 2 weeks prior to surgery? Does anybody know? Vitamins such as swisse daily vitamins.

I was told at pre admission testing to stop taking all vitamins and any ibuprofen products a week before surgery.

They want you off any blood thinning meds. Ibuprofen is an NSAID and some vitamins have blood thinning properties as well. You should confirm what vitamins you should or shouldn't take prior to surgery.
