February 2016 sleevers?

Recommended Posts

I'm a little concerned about meds. I'm a hard pill taker as it is. And by having to take pills with a swig of Water idk if I can do that. Do you guys know if they offer liquid? Getting sleeved in exactly one week from now ☺️

Yep! Start asking your pharmacist if what you need to take comes in liquid form. I only had to take pain mends in liquid form the first week. If you need or want to do it this way, as your pharmacist maybe you can make the switch. Also ... I think I learned that If I used liquid medicine, I needed to let it sit a bit. I had been washing it down with water. Not sure if it affected efficacy but I did my own test and I think it did make a difference.

My appointment got moved up nearly a month. My Dr's office called today and asked to switch to an earlier date because of a cancellation, and I nearly fell off my chair. It's crazy after so many years of pushing for this, to know its finally going to happen. My surgery is on Feb 24. I'm thrilled, but trying to get everything together in time.

Sooo bloody irritated today. Have my surgery set for the 23rd. Was supposed to start my preop diet today, and come to find out my insurance has denied my procedure! All due to some missing signature or something! The surgeons office has resubmitted the claim. Still holding onto the original surgery date. Keeping my fingers crossed it will go through this time.

Hang in there. I got denied & ran into the excuse "Not medically necessary" & other hurdles countless times. Part of the reason I jumped on an earlier surgery date was because I was afraid of the same thing. Best of luck for the resubmit :)

I had surgery yesterday the 9th. I feel alright. I did get some gas pains in my shoulder, but I walked the halls and they went away. I love ice chips because it is all I can have right now. The best thing is I got to go through this process with my best friend. We were sleeved an hour apart. post-270696-14551019919452_thumb.jpg

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
