Not sure if you need therapy, but my Mother was also a depression child. She would never throw anything away unless it was just too spoiled to use. She saved bits and pieces of every meal and at the end of the week she made Soup. After Thanksgiving, that Turkey was stripped down to the bone, and she made turkey something every day until it was gone. I got really tired of turkey and to this day I only eat it at Thanksgiving and then I package up the leftovers and give all of the kids some for sandwiches. I have the worst time throwing food away. I still try to save food like a squirrel and ultimately end up throwing it away . Sometimes I do make vegetable Soup . My parents had 5 children and very little money, they made sure we cleaned our plates and we did not have soda's, Cookies, chips, etc. If I got a coke it would be either at someone elses house or I did some work for neighbors to earn some money. I was also a very skinny kid and I did not gain weight until I was in my 40's. so even though I was raised in a clean your plate household I did not have a life long obesity issue. I attribute some of that to my activity level as a young person. I always had a big appetite and learn to love food too much.

Get some help with this or it will drive you nuts as a sleeved person! One way of looking at it that's helped me is looking at it like this...

"My body is not a garbage disposal", it is not my responsibility, (and seriously no longer possible) to consume more than I am comfortable holding.

That was my favorite WW quote and has helped me for years. I am not a garbage disposal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
