So, a picture can be worth a thousand words. A friend of mine, also a bariatric patient sent me this image. Seeing the size of the bulk of the person in relation to the frame that has to carry it all was quite an epiphany for me.
Though our weight becomes a threat to our health and well being, the size of our skeletal framework to carry the load does not change.
Viewing this made me ache all over. Just another powerful affirmation of why so many of us need WLS to improve our health and well being.
