It's an amazing feeling to be in the best shape of your life. I never thought I would have this fitness level in my 40's. I'm so thankful for my sleeve.

I'm wearing low rise jeans. I just don't have the curvy hips to fill out other jeans.

Yeah, low rise is my choice, too. If they're anything else, they look like jodhpurs. LOL

Well, I am the inverted triangle though I much prefer the athletic spin. I too wear the low rise, with a belt. All pants have a way of shimmying down. My gfriend told me once she was gonna LAUGH if my pants fell off in public. I have an 8-9 " difference from waist to hips bit my waist is WAY up there so it doesn't help with jeans fitting.

I'm not sure. I think I'm a rectangle? Maybe an hourglass? I don't think my waist is that curvy but maybe that's because I have narrow hips. I have a little girls body now.

If the question was "What body type did you have BEFORE your weight loss?", I would have said,"that of an athlete", And by that, I meant that of a Sumo wrestler. :)

I used to be my father's lil half-back then I was a full-back. I was always the biggest kid in the family. For twenty years, as a firefighter, I always had broad shoulders, big arms, thick legs and calves. They served me well doing the hard stuff. I could never buy a regular blazer or button down shirt, jeans were torture and forget boots. I learned to sew because I couldn't find things that fit me well. Now it's my belly that's still giving me trouble when shopping. But I will take it versus the sixty pounds!

So what shape do you see?

Ha... you guys are funny.

My dad's nickname for me was "barrel" Nice huh? Anyway, I was your classic apple pre op... now I am a freaking warrior princess - that title seems to be missing from the chart. :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
