Is it safe to pay your deposit with a credit card?

I am planning on having surgery with Dr. Garcia in December. I have been speaking with Karen through Tijuana Bariatrics. I have scheduled my surgery and need to pay my deposit. I was wondering how you guys made your deposit and if it is legit to pay over the phone using your credit card?

I made mine via PayPal, so there was some built-in security. Your credit card company probably covers fraudulent charges, so if you do use your credit card, just keep a close eye on it in the coming months and report anything suspicious immediately.

I would think it would be pretty safe.

I've never had an issue with charging anything on my credit card... including my hospital stay.

I know from experience that my credit card company is on my side if there is a dispute.

If this charge is going to be substantially bigger than your normal CC charges,

you may want to call your credit card company and forewarn them.

Otherwise it might get declined.

Thanks! I think the 500$ deposit will clear just fine and then I plan to pay cash for surgery. I guess I could do pay-pal too. Thanks for your help!
