Well I've been heavy my whole life. Been made fun of my whole life. Highest weight was 327.4. At that point I made the decision to start working out. It went great. Lost 60 pounds in 5 months. I actually kept it off. I plateaued, but hey it was still off. Till 3 years ago when my mother died. She was the Rock of the family. Then bam it started coming back on. So I started working out again and nothing was moving. One of my co-workers had the gastric sleeve surgery June of 2014. She gave me Mexico Bariatric Center email address and I started researching. I finally made my mind up. February 26th, 2015 was the day that would change my life forever. When I had got to Mexico I didn't realize that I had ballooned up to 324.8. Whoa wth! Thank the lord I found Dr. Ismael Cabrera and Mexico Bariatric Center. To date I'm down 94 pound with 56 to goal.

Maintenance is much more difficult than the loss, that's why WLS is such a good tool. This may give you some understanding: http://www.boston.com/lifestyle/health/blog/nutrition/2014/05/the_reason_you_cant_keep_the_w.html

Great job to date though and congrats and welcome to the family.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
