Medical Tourism Insurance -- Worth it?

Hi all!

I would just like to know if anyone here has purchased Medical Tourism Insurance before traveling to Mexico for a self-pay surgery.

Did you end up needing it? Was it worth it? Would you purchase it again? Or if you didn't get it, why did you feel like it wasn't necessary?

Hoping to get some input.

Thanks

-Taylor

I looked into it, I found it wasn't worth the expense. My insurance would cover if there were issues when I got back home. The complication rate of sleeve surgery is so low I wasn't worried about it. I had done enough research on the facility and the doctor I wasn't worried about them not keeping up their end of the bargain to take care of problems there.
