Do they cancel your surgery if you have a cold?

My bypass is in 2 days on 9/23, and today I feel like I might be coming down with the virus my kids had last week. Just a mild scratchiness in my throat so far, but I'm worried. Does anyone know if they would cancel surgery if someone has a cold??

My best guess would be that unless you are running a fever over 101 they will go thru with surgery. Maybe be proactive - take Tylenol and make sure you don't give a fever the chance to settle in on you. However, if you feel sick and are worried about having it when sick, postpone.
