Hey everyone. Just a quick update. I am 4 weeks post op. My high at pre op diet was 228.9. Weight at surgery was 222.2. My 4 weeks post op weight is 202.4. A total of 26.5 lbs lost. So happy about it. I thought it would have been more than that. In 4 weeks I lost 19.8 lbs. Is this about average? Where was everyone else at, at 4 weeks post op?

I hope not. I started with the lap band in 2012. Starting weight was 261 lowest 174. Then had lots of problems. Went back up to 228.9. Had it removed then did the sleeve. Love it so far. It seems like I lost faster with the band, but as long as I am losing I am good.

We all lose differently. I have lost 17 lbs post-op, after 29 lbs lost pre-op. I was sleeved 10/7.

Turkey, green Beans. And I saw a bariatric menu for Thanksgiving and it had an appetizer that I think I'll make: Apple Brie Bacon Crumbles on a toothpick. You put a piece of Apple, them the cheese, then bacon pieces. I think it sounds good!

Amboyd,

I too was a band to sleeve revision on 10/5. I stalled for nearly three weeks even though I was walking nearly every day for about 30 min and calorie intake no more than 800 a day. I was very frustrated to say the least! (I even noticed a two pound gain during that stall) I have my next four week check up is tomorrow and I'm not getting on my scale until I have been weighed by the surgeons office scale.

My husband had not seen me since surgery until this past friday and he could tell I had lost weight, and I for the first time could see it too. So hang in there, I think because we are revisions our starting weight loss is slower.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
