When did people notice your weight loss?

I am a teacher and had the surgery over the summer. I had it at the end of july, but still went back to work 25 lbs less and no one noticed. Saw my family and no one noticed. I know my weight loss is coming off slowly but i thought people would think i looked a liitle smaller. Since my tummy is only 4 inches smaller i still can wear my same clothes, they are just looser. I wonder at what point do people notice your loss?

I'm glad I'm reading your answers so I know what to expect. When I was losing weight a few years ago, people noticed at the -25 pound stage, but the compliments and remarks from haters were constant around the -40 to -50 pound loss.

When I came back to work from my 2 weeks off from surgery , my coworkers were telling me how good I looked and I was down 30 at that time. I love my job and it's people. They are so supportive. ♡♡

I am going on a cruise 7 weeks after my surgery. can anyone tell me what to expect at 7 weeks out.

Wow that was kinda rude. Depending on your doctors instructions At 7 Weeks you will be eating a large variety of foods. You won't be on fresh veggies probably. But on a cruise you should have no problem at all getting your Protein. Lots to choose from on the smorgasbords! Make sure and take your supplements with you and even pack some pre-mixed Protein shakes. I love cruises! You will have so much fun.

And don't worry about posting in the wrong thread. For some reason there are people that get weirdly territorial and snappy but for the most part, lots of people are happy to help!!

thank you. I was new and had no idea there were rules..

I'm down 40 and no one other than my wife has noticed. I'm still wearing the same clothes and I think that has a lot to do with it.

I'm now at the weight (242) I was when I went from XL to XXL. Once I get to 235 or so, I'm going to Target and spending $100 on some XL stuff. Then people will notice.

My goal is 190, so I'm hoping to be donating all my XXL and XL clothes to Goodwill in the spring.

No one said anything to me until I lost about 50 lbs and to be honest when I look in the mirror I don't see the weight loss at all but when I post a side by side pic I see it. It is definitely mental
