  1. Ok my cw is 215.4 down from 282.2. Sleeved 8/31/15. I was literally a couch potato before wls. But Now.... I have so much energy I'm actually buzzing. LOL. My sister told me I was wearing her out just watching and listening to me. Apparently, I'm quite the chatterbox too! Haha. I LOVE THIS FEELING!!! How has your energy levels changed? Have other people commented? This is so inspiring to me. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Ok so this is probably bad but...my 13 yo son's friends don't refer to me as his "fat" mom but as his "hot" mom. Haha at least that's what my son said. Ok I'm blushing. 65 down and 45 to go. Love my sleeve.
  3. My saving grace at 3 wks postop was vienna sausages. Just 1 eaten slowly and I was good. Now I'm almost 3 months and down 55lbs total. So happy I did this.
  4. Is there a good calcium citrate supplement without the d3? I'm already doing 10,000 a day (have been for over a year) and don't need to add more. Thanks.
  5. I'm another side sleeper. Woke up in recovery on my back. It really hurt and was soooo uncomfortable. Flipped onto my side... instant relief.
  6. Ok last night I took my sons to JCP for new jeans and as I was checking out the "bold" salesgirl says "Now we have the kids covered, what's Mom gonna do about those sagging pants she's wearring?" I just laughed. Haha. Yep I'm 6 weeks postop and down 44 lbs. Time to invest some $$ in myself. (Just a little). No doubt this is soooo worth it all. Love it!!
  7. I like the premier shakes too. Wally world sells them. Also, I like Pure protein shakes. They have a rich and creamy texture. Something to add to water for sipping try New Whey Protein shots. 42 g protein each. If you can down 1 a day (add to water, very sour otherwise) with a shake or 2, you'll be doing great. Good luck!
  8. When I came back to work from my 2 weeks off from surgery , my coworkers were telling me how good I looked and I was down 30 at that time. I love my job and it's people. They are so supportive. ♡♡
  9. My overweight husband said this... "So when you lose all of the weight I'll have a smoking hot wife, maybe then you'll feel like getting intimate more often." My response, "Maybe, I've had my eye on a couple of guys, I'm just waiting for the right moment." LOL He really needs to step up his game and give me something smoking too!!
  10. Calories are low, less than 600. No exercise until after week 6. Drink water and shakes. I'm not overreacting yet. Just a little bummed and looking for positive encouragement. I added vitamins again last week. Maybe it is just water retention. Maybe this week will prove better. Thanks for letting me attend my own pity party. LOL
  11. I'm so bummed. I gained 2 lbs this past week. It was my 3rd week post op and now I'm on soft foods. I hope this is typical. I hope this is just a "body adjustment" thing. I had lost 33 lbs but now it's only 31. Now I'm afraid to eat anything. Such a let down.
  12. Thanks everyone! It really is nice to just put that leg up there and it stays and I don't have to hold my breath! My kids just shake their heads but WE know the thrill. LOL
  13. Hi everyone. I'm into my 3rd week post op and down 33 since I started this joy ride back in May. I had my first little victory moment yesterday! I discovered I no longer have to sit sidways on the bed or sofa to put on my socks. I can simply just lift my leg and put my foot on my knee!! Yay me! LOL
  14. Thank you ladies!!! I thought my body was working against me. My period started about 10 days early too. 3 days after surgery. I was pissed. I didn't expect to have to deal with that yet. Uugh. I have my followup tomorrow and I think I'll mention it as something to warn others about. What a relief to know I'm not alone! Crazy stuff.
  15. Hey everyone!! Surgery was 8/31 and so far so good. Minimal pain and no vomiting. Yay! My followup is tomorrow so no idea bout loss. I started at 282 on 5/1, then on day of surgery I was 263.3, so who knows. I'm very tired of a liquid diet. Should start puree next week but I'm ready for real food. I have cheated a tiny bit with no known issues. All soft stuff. Anyway, keep chugging along. I'll keep ya posted. ☆
  16. Hey everyone. I was sleeved the 31st and am doing pretty good. No nausea not really any pain. I do tire easily and I'm happy to home so I actually get rest. Been drinking my liquids and my tummy likes to Rumble about it but no vomiting. So far so good. Goodluck everyone.
  17. I was diagnosed with anemia a year ago and have been on supplements. My surgeon was told about it at my first appt. Last month. my PCP said I was at normal levels again and I Don't see him again until Dec. He recommended for the sleeve back in May. I registered at the hospital yesterday and had to do some final labs and this is what popped up.
  18. I'm scheduled for surgery on 8/31/15 and was told today thay I show anemia. My level is 9.6. I take Integra Plus daily for diagnosed anemia a year ago but was told my levels were back to normal ranges last month. Is this bad? OMG will they cancel or postpone my surgery now?? I'm beginning to lose it here. Help. Please.
  19. I'm only thinking positive thoughts for you. I'm 1 week away from mine! Sooo ready.
  20. I'm scheduled for Aug 31st. Started my 1 week preop diet today. I'm already hungry. Grrr. I believe This will be the hardest part. Haha. I'm looking forward to the cravings to go away. Wish me luck.

  22. Ok I got my approval today!! Looks like Aug 31 is my day. Almost September. But good anyway! I wush everyone the best and I'll keep ya posted!! Diet class tomorrow to talk about preop and post op diets. Surgeon meeting on the 25th. Wow! So close!

  24. Whoo hoo!! Just got my approval for Aug 31st! Wow! That was fast! It was just submitted last Wed. Go Cigna TX. I have a diet class tomorrow, preop appt with Surgeon on 8/25 and then surgery on the 31st! Ok. The nerves are setting in now. Haha
  25. My breaking point was seeing a current picture of my husbands ex-wife who had the sleeve a year ago. She WAS bigger than me but now looks amazing and according to my step daughter, she has lost 100 lbs!!! I saw her pic and said enough is enough. She was the 3rd person I knew and although I can't stand her, I had to admit she looked great!! I called my PCP the next morning and now I'm aiming for Aug 31st.
