Calcium supplements

What strength of calcium supplements are you all prescribed?

Each day I have two tablets. Each has 1.25 g of calcium and 200 units of Vit D

My multivitamin has 400 units of Vit D

I'm just wondering if I can cut the calcium supplements to 1 a day?

That would be based on your bloodwork and/or a follow up bone density scan. We all have different body makeup and you would be best to add or drop supplements and vitamins based on what your body is demonstrating a need or deficit for.

I take the Vitamin Shoppe's calcium citrate, each containing 600 mg of calcium and 1000 IU of Vitamin D3. My instructions say take 4 of these per day, with the additional 5000 IU D3 only tablet somewhere in the day.

Is there a good calcium citrate supplement without the d3? I'm already doing 10,000 a day (have been for over a year) and don't need to add more. Thanks.
