Anemia! Surgery soon. Worried.

I'm scheduled for surgery on 8/31/15 and was told today thay I show anemia. My level is 9.6. I take Integra Plus daily for diagnosed anemia a year ago but was told my levels were back to normal ranges last month. Is this bad?

OMG will they cancel or postpone my surgery now?? I'm beginning to lose it here. Help. Please.

Did they only just find the anemia now? Wonder why your docs haven't been giving you more supplements or getting you on higher Iron foods (not that I know much about this subject but this seems like the 11th hour).???

I was diagnosed with anemia a year ago and have been on supplements. My surgeon was told about it at my first appt. Last month. my PCP said I was at normal levels again and I Don't see him again until Dec. He recommended for the sleeve back in May.

I registered at the hospital yesterday and had to do some final labs and this is what popped up.

I was told to take and otc high dosage iron 3x a day when they did my labs. I was still able to have surgery w/o an issue. At almost 7 months out my iron is now normal and I was told to only take 2 a day.
