Will Anthem BCBS deny surgery for significant weight loss during the 6 Mon diet?

I had my initial consultation with the surgeon on July 11. At that time, my weight was 279. Today, my weight is 248. Will Anthem deny coverage for the surgery if I continue to lose weight at the same rate I've been losing weight based on changes to my diet and exercise routine?

That is a good question for your insurance, and your surgons office. My insurance wants my BMI to be 40 on surgery day. I'm 5'7" and 266 right now.

what was your starting bmi also what comorbities do you have

I have no co-morbitities. I am not sure what the start BMI was the weight was 278.
