Horseback Riding Peeps-When Should I be Able to Start Riding Again?

Of course I won't start riding until my Dr. gives the okay but when should I expect to get the okay to start riding again?

I just had my RNY surgery 3 days ago so am still on a 10 lb lifting restriction.

  • I rode about 5 weeks out when I was on vacation. It was a trail ride and I did not get too fancy. In retrospect, I am not sure that I should have, but I really did not think about whether it was a good idea until later. Then it occurred to me "I should have asked my doctor before I did that!" It went fine for me, But, of course, do what your doctor tells you.
