I can't eat without getting sick

Recommended Posts

I will be 11 weeks post op on Monday, and I have trouble eating. Everything I eat makes me sick. Even just a few bites. I'm so tired of drinking Protein Drinks and Water. I just want to be able to have regular food. Is this normal at this point, or should I seek medical advice from my doctor? I can't even eat a few bites of chicken without getting sick. Help!

I'm still on the first week but I have heard of this happening. I would try to go to very mushy baby food consistency for a while. Your pouch may not be able take anything more right now.

I am just over a week since my surgery, and my whey Protein drinks are making my so sick too. Any suggestions? Anyone tried shakeology?

If it were me, I would call my surgeon. In the meantime, go back to things that are easy on your stomach. Mashed potato, pureed Soup, mashed avocado, yogurt, pudding, scrambled eggs.

Same thing happened to me around same time. It was a stricture. Call your surgeon and get them to do an EGD.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
