I can't eat without getting sick

I will be 11 weeks post op on Monday, and I have trouble eating. Everything I eat makes me sick. Even just a few bites. I'm so tired of drinking protein drinks and water. I just want to be able to have regular food. Is this normal at this point, or should I seek medical advice from my doctor? I can't even eat a few bites of chicken without getting sick. Help!

I'm still on the first week but I have heard of this happening. I would try to go to very mushy baby food consistency for a while. Your pouch may not be able take anything more right now.

I

That's been my experience so far as well. My doc has urged me to keep trying to incorporate more food into my diet. It's a slow process. Hang in there.

I am just over a week since my surgery, and my whey protein drinks are making my so sick too. Any suggestions? Anyone tried shakeology?

If it were me, I would call my surgeon. In the meantime, go back to things that are easy on your stomach. Mashed potato, pureed Soup, mashed avocado, yogurt, pudding, scrambled eggs.

Shakeology is great. I use the vanilla and add if whatever fruit I want to favorite it.

I wish I could eat scrambled eggs. They make me sick too! :(

Same thing happened to me around same time. It was a stricture. Call your surgeon and get them to do an EGD.
